Adobe Photoshop [Posted on 2008-07-09] This is a great product. Working on an album for a reunion and the autofix features for the old pictures are great. Ease of adding text to the pictures is very user friendly.
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 & Adobe Premiere Elements 4 [Posted on 2008-07-29] The box was covered with a black ink, I had to wipe down the box and the contents inside. It was a complete mess.
Photoshop Elements 6 and Premier [Posted on 2008-08-05] This was a great buy. I'm just a novice with digital photography/editing and was looking for something easy. It has nice editing features (I'm still learning to use all the tools - it has a lot). But I like the features you can do with slide presentations which allows me to compile my daughter's pictures. You can add sound from music cd's and headings. These you can make them into Windows Media movies (pc) or burn DVD for your player at home. Pretty cool stuff. I'm happy with the elements Photo software. Hopefully, I can start playing with the video editing piece soon.
Beware of compatibility/System Requirements [Posted on 2008-08-10] While my PC is not brand new, I exceeded the "minimum system requirements" published for this software. Warning -- unless you have about double the memory and speed listed in the specs, the Premiere Elements portion will not work. After upgrading my memory, I was able to create a DVD, only to find that my DVD Recorder was not compatible (of course, nothing tells you it isn't compatible, and there is no real manual to refer to). Following the instructions, I had to save the DVD to my hard drive, then copy to a DVD-R, resulting in a very poor quality DVD. Since you can't return opened software, I'm out $100 for something I will not be able to use unless I want to buy a new DVD Recorder.
looks slick, but does not work (and customer support is useless) [Posted on 2008-08-16] i was initially very happy with this software, but it crashes every time i try to render video, making the software ultimately useless. attempts to resolve the problem with adobe are frustrating - they do not respond to technical support requests submitted online, and they are not helpful by phone. i will be returning this software.
