Perfect little shaver [Posted on 2008-08-14] Bought this little shaver several years ago in Berlin when BA lost my luggage in Heathrow. Still use it and love it. Use it for travel to bring in my carry-on luggage and still use it every day as it gets those areas which a large Panasonic (nice but more expensive) doesn't get. Only complaint: Replacement parts (foil and blade) cost as much as a new shaver. Not very sustainable for the environment but guess what. Ordered a new one and will keep the other one as backup/work shaver as it still works, only would like after 5 years or so to exchange the blade.
Inexpensive. Not cheap. [Posted on 2008-08-21] I was not expecting anything with this purchase. One of those things where it would be ok to lose, and not lose money. However, I actually feel like I should buy another for backup.
Everything about this shaver will exceed your expectations as well. The portability, the convenience, the design, quality, and more importantly, the function. I am a razor guy. But there are rare times I don't have time for that. So I just wanted a dry shaver backup... however, you can get this thing wet, take it apart and wash it etc. No wires. Two AA batteries. No case, with a sliding foil cover. And the simple setting of "on". It shaves close, and does it well. How long it will last, I have no idea. Blade replacement?... no clue. For this price, it does not matter. Get two.
Maybe not for African-American men [Posted on 2008-08-25] I purchased this for my husband and he has mixed feelings about this shaver. According to him, he has a lot more stubble left after a shave than with his old Remington. Granted the Remington was a dual foil as opposed to the single, but I wouldn't have thought it made that much difference. (Of course I'm a woman so what do I know about shaving facial hair?) Anyway, eventhough it's not as close a shave as he'd prefer, he likes the convenience of not having to charge it. When you're deployed, you're not always near an outlet. Overall he says it's ok, but perhaps would work best as a backup, especially if you have coarse facial hair.
I'm Satisfied [Posted on 2008-08-30] The product came in a timely manner and it works well for my father.
Thank you!
Good Razor For The Money [Posted on 2008-08-30] I purchased two of these razors. One for myself and one for son. He uses his exclusively. I use mine for late afternoon touch-ups.
I still like using my soap brush and Mach 5 every morning, because you cannot beat the closeness of a razor blade shave.
This razor is great for the price for keeping in my briefcase for an evening meeting or get-together.
I would recommend buying this razor for emergency or occasional usage. It does suite my needs for a daily shaver.
