This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves to log all of their recorded DVD's. PUT DOWN THE SHARPIE!! I got this for my Dad for Xmas because he's constantly out buying bootleg movies or taping his tivo sitcoms on his DVD's and looking for that damn SHARPIE. He loves it and it makes his movies look 100% better than his handwriting!! Best purchase I've made so-far for my Dad. A++
NO FOLLOW UP FROM MANUFACTURER [Posted on 2007-01-11]
I have emailed the manufacturer at least 3 times. My problem is still a problem. Each time I attempt to print a label I have to rewind the ribbon. The manufacturer promised to send along a new ribbon to see if it would rewind but has not done so.

This item was returned soon after purchase. My wife tried it on the blank cd's we use and it did not work. Apparantly it only works on certain types of discs and we found that to be an inconvienence.

I find that this printer works fine with CDs and DVDs that aren't pre-printed with heavy ink from the manufacturer. A nice "hand-writing" substitute when used as a stand-alone device, but really shines when used with the included software. I got mine for $30 on sale. Battery life is moderate to poor.
