I bought this item after seeing a 'bigger' version offered on a home shopping channel. I knew I didn't need all that memory that they were offering. This product worked EXACTLY as it said it would. I literally just plugged it in and it worked (which was a big deal cause I have had other things that were supposed to start automatically but they wouldn't on my computer). It took it about an hour to back all of the files on my computer, and I checked and everything was on it. Over all this is probably the most happy I've been with a 'technology' item in a long time. This item makes me feel more confident in going to buy a new computer, I feel much better about the big switch, knowing that I will have my 'old' computer in my hand.
