Case has quality look and feel, camera is a snug fit. Batteries fit perfectly and take charge relatively quickly [Posted on 2007-11-10]
This kit is a gathering of separate items combined by the seller, rather than a group of accessories purpose-designed for the F480. This is confirmed by the separate packagings of the batteries and case. The two batteries even came in different style boxes although they appear to be the same. The Vanguard Lagos 5 case is made in China. The battery boxes are labeled, "CTA Digital Accessories", Brooklyn New York.
When I first used the case the fit seemed snug, making it a bit difficult to insert the camera and more difficult to remove it. However, I found that pushing up on the inserted camera from the bottom of the case makes the removal process quite acceptable. There is more than a 1/2" (approx 1.5cm) gap between the sides of the case and the velcro-fastened closing flap. Because of this, in inclement weather it would probably be best to insure that at least the top of the case is inside a jacket or coat.
However, the case does have a number of excellent features that go someway to counter some minor deficiencies. Its tight fit means the F480 will not accidentally slip out, and its 'form fit' to the camera means the case is about as small as possible, while still providing room to store a few accessories. These accessories can be stored in the case's front double zippered (a nice touch) storage compartment. The compartment opens wide, almost like opening a mouth. However, it only has room for a minimal set of accessories, e.g., a single battery and one or possibly two SD cards, with this complement the zipper(s) just makes it closed. With even the two batteries, as provided with this kit, the compartment becomes too `fat' for the zippers to be closed without problem.
The belt connecter is made up of a leather loop joined by velcro, that can easily be placed on and off a belt or other, even fairly wide, strap.
The CTA batteries fit without problem in both the F480 and its charger. They charged relatively quickly out of the box, and worked in the camera without problem. I have not had this kit long enough to comment on battery longevity, or leakage, but so far they have worked without flaw.
The cost of two clone batteries by themselves almost equals the cost of the kit, and the camera case provides good impact protection without adding excessive size. It also looks `expensive'.
Overall, after having 'hands-on' experience with this kit, I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

I use this case for my Fuji Finepix F480. It is a very tight fit with the two spare Batteries but it still does its job.
