If you are purchasing a camera that has this cradle as an accessory, be sure to buy it. I purchased my camera about 2 years ago and didn't get the cradle at first. I recently purchased it and wish I had done so at the time of the camera purchase. I don't have to worry about batteries since this charges the batteries (which come with the cradle) when the camera is in the cradle. I wasn't sure at first what I would need the cradle for and now I don't know how I did without it. A definite must if you like convenience and want to always have your camera ready to shoot!

After all is said and done, I commend the customer service managers at Ace Photo and Digital. However, it took a month, two phone calls, and a very angry email to finally get all the parts that this Fujifilm Universal Cradle comes bundled with. Just make sure if you order this (excellent, excellent, excellent Fujifilm product)cradle through Ace Photo and Digital that you get all your parts. If not, don't waste your time calling customer service- email the manager straightaway. This is probably a fluke that I had to deal with and you won't, but be aware. Fujifilm Cradle works great, even without the adapter. Four Stars to Fujifilm.

Beware if you are purchasing this for a Fuji Finepix E550. In the picture the cradle is shown with the top plastic adapter you need to properly use this with a E550. When I recieved mine this piece was not included. It will still work, but it is not stable in the base.

You can't substitute the power cord from the cradle to the camera to charge the batteries, the batteries will only charge from the cradle.
for the price of this cradle, you can just buy a bunch of AA batteries or a better set of rechargeable.
Fuji Charger Cradle problem [Posted on 2008-10-23]
When I received the cradle and tried to hook it up to offload pictures from my camera, I found the "Fuji" style USB jack in the back was broken. The only other option I had besides going through the hassle of returning it was to purchase a USB xD Picture card reader. Now about all the cradle is good for is keeping the battery charged.
