Works as advertized [Posted on 2008-02-28] After reading several reviews out here in cyberspace I decided to buy this camera. I needed something small and reliable for a mission trip to Guatemala. It made it through two orphanages which includes "Take my picture and then, let me see!...do it again!" plus some video of ziplining through the trees there. It worked great!
I was disappointed that it did not come with a charger since I did not have my laptop with me, however, I soon discovered that my iPhone charger worked just fine!
cute camera [Posted on 2008-03-11] I love this red color and very easy to take everywhere with me. But it take long time to record, have to wait longer for the next picture. My sony cemera dont have that issue.
What a camera! [Posted on 2008-04-10] I love my Kodak Easyshare. It takes great quality pictures. It's very easy to use and the instruction booklet makes learning how easy. The ruby red color is fun and sassy!
Wish I could return my Camera! [Posted on 2008-05-13] Had a Kodak for years that I loved so I decided to upgrade to the M853 for more mega pixels and because it looked cool. What a mistake! The lens is SLOW! Half of my pictures are blurry which is really annoying because I was taking pictures of a wedding and others of my young niece and most looked terrible when I got them to my computer. The blur feature is only somewhat reliable as many pictures that are blurry still have a green hand which is supposed to mean they are clear.
I read mixed reviews about this camera before I bought it but decided that since my old Kodak was great that this one was sure to be great too. It is not. I really wish that I had returned this camera and now it is to late.
I am going on a trip soon and have decided that I will be using my old camera instead of this new one. A total shame!
Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $100 [Posted on 2008-10-18] I bought this camera for roughly $100. Simply put, it is NOT a good camera. I've taken it on two trips and one concert. I have beautiful memories and blurry/grainy photos. I'm not a newb, I know how to use a digital camera and this one just didn't cut the mustard. Plus, like many other posts I've read on the internet about this camera, the LCD panel crapped out on me two weeks into owning the camera.
I wish I would have spent the extra $100 on a Canon Powershot 1100.
