You don't want to use up all your battery power transferring images to your PC, so this accessory is fantastic. It works for five different Nikon cameras and will save you a fortune in batteries and a lot of time waiting for batteries to recharge. For the price, it's a bargain!

The AC adapter also works for the new Coolpix 5100 model. I use it for time-lapse recording. Works perfectly.

Great product, really saves on battery use. Plugs right in and the camera is ready to use. Highly recommended if you want to use the camera in a relaxed setting with no worry of battery loss. The cord is nice and long as well.

Beware this product does not charge the battery. In fact one has to remove the battery to use the AC power. I purchased the adapter so I could charge the battery without having to remove it from the camera. Limited use.
