Great Price For This Card - Lots Of Pics [Posted on 2002-08-21]
I'm no Ansel Adams - but I wanted a good quality card that was going to last a while. My 8MB was useless for quantity. I bought this 64MB (and another later) and found I could get: 664 SQ (Standard Quality) Photos-good only for web pages
199 HQ (High Quality) Photos-good enoug for small prints
71 SHQ (Super High Quality) Photos-great for good prints up to 5 X 7 inches. This does not include 'panaramic shots', which take up more memory. I also shopped around and found that Amazon had the best prices. Of course, the 128MB card stores more pics, but the price jump was significant. Don't worry about 'refurbished' media cards. They are just fine, cheaper and have the same warranty as 'new' cards. I just shoot my pics and mail them off when I am on vacation. I never have to worry about getting my camera stolen or misplaced and losing my pictures. What else do you need?
Reformat exorsices woes [Posted on 2002-09-11]
With both a Olympus 64MB card and now a SanDisk 128MB card there's no fear of ever running out of media space even when traveling. The 64MB will handle 128 HQ shots (high def.), 665 SQ shots (standard def.) on my Olympus D-490 Zoom (2.1 Megapixel). The SanDisk 128MB Smart Media card twice as many. SHQ (Super-high quality) slows things down a bit.
The Olympus card started acting up a week ago: It would only hold 23 standard shots. Two calls to Tech support did not reveal a high degree of service and I learned they do not warrant the card. Fortunately reformating fixed the problem.
I Want my Panoramic Pictures [Posted on 2004-01-22]
OK, so the olympus cards are a little on the pricey side, but you definitly get a quality product in return. So the price is the only real obstical preventing a five star rating. I got the card because it does support the panoramic function on my Olympus camera. Imagine that, the Olympus SmartMedia cards are the only ones that are compatible with the Olympus Camera's panoramic function. That said, its worth paying the extra money if you have an olympus camera with a panoramic function, but wait for it to go on sale, that's what I did.

Christmas present for my son to use on his keyboard. He really hasn't used it that much. I was very impressed on how quickly I received it after the purchase. It was here within a week.
Expensive and hard to find but mandatory for piano upgrade [Posted on 2007-02-04]
I was looking for a smartmedia card to upgrade the firmware of my Yamaha digital piano. Regular stores dont have them anymore, and a couple online orders were cancelled because the product had become unavailable. I received this one within 2 days of the order and it's working fine.
