Olympus LI 10B - Camera battery Li-Ion 1090 mAhBrand: Olympus Binding: Electronics
2 hours for both charging and discharging [Posted on 2007-01-06] I have three 10B Li-ion batteries. The battery life of the Li-ion battery is around 2 to 2.5 hours for daylight photography and continious use. Under continious focussing it drains out in a little more than 1 hours, but of course that depends on the conditions.
The battery gives really annoying performance for night photography with flash, It takes around 30-35 flashes (at +/-0V) for the whole battery to drain. If the battery is drained out after one full cycle (2 hours) of continious use and then left unused for 15 minutes, it can be continious used for 10-15 more minutes again.
I have an Olympus C770UZ, and in my camera once the battery starts showing "drained out" (blinks red), it runs for only 5-10 more minuted before it shows "Battery empty". An earlier caution could have been more helpful, and this is what had prompted me to always carry with me 2 batteries instead of a single one. You never know when suddenly you shall be out of power in some picturesque spot.
