OK but not great performance [Posted on 2008-08-01]
I bought these batteries on the recommendation of a colleague who uses them in equipment they set out for long periods of time. I've been using them in a headlamp and have seen no improvement in performance when compared to Rayovac rechargeable batteries.

These work as advertised! [Posted on 2008-08-01]
Nothing else to say as I don't know how many cycles I'll get. But they're charged out of the box & work as advertised.

Ready to use [Posted on 2008-08-02]
I haven't gone through too many cycles yet, but it so far, these batteries work as well as any others I have tried. It was definitely nice to have them ready to go when we got them.

Excellent Rechargeable Batteries! [Posted on 2008-08-05]
I have a digital camera that uses pairs of AA batteries at a time. The camera is an older Sony DSC-W5 and it likes to eat batteries quickly. Eneloop batteries are much better than traditional rechargeables. They have an extremely low self discharge rate. This means you can charge them and still be able to use them next year. I've found that Eneloop batteries usually out preform my 2500mAh Energizer rechargeables, because the Energizers self discharge so quickly. I can't find Eneloops in any of our local stores, even Target and Wal-Mart. I have found some Duracell "Pre-Charged" batteries that appear to be rebranded Eneloops. Other than the wrapper, they look (and preform) like Eneloops, down to the terminals. Ray-O-Vac has some Hyrbid batteries that compete with Sanyo's Eneloop. Eneloops (and the Duracells) are made in Japan, while the Hrybrids are made in China. I guess it's your choice but, I'd much rather support Japan than China. Overall, Eneloops are worth buying.

Saves me money [Posted on 2008-08-05]
I did not want to bother with rechargeables but finally had to face the fact that with all the little battery operated gizmos in the house, I was spending too much each year on batteries, even at Costco prices. that is all over now. I have, in a sense, an infinite supply of AA and AAA batteries. I bought the charger at Costco. It comes with 2 sets of AA's and one set of AAA's. this is not enough, so I used Amazon to triple my supply of both (watch out on shipping/handling charge). So I ended up spending about double my yearly battery costs with regular batteries. I could have done better if I had shopped smarter on Amazon. Nonetheless, the product works fine. Runs down faster than regular batteries, but not so often that I am always changing them out. Charge is simple, and supposedly these Eneloops keep their charge. I don't know if that is true, but I always have a fresh set waiting and my battery costs as of now will be zero, nada, zilch. Feels good.
