I just want to reinforce an earlier review. I bought this memory stick to use in my Sony Cybershot camera. It is perfectly compatible. However, I do notice a significant delay between shots; when accessing an image in review mode; and in how long it takes to process a deletion of an image or return to shoot mode. I don't experience this with the Sony brand memory sticks. If you're taking "action shots," this could definitely be a source of frustration for you. However, it's value priced compared to the Sony...

I just bought this thing from Amazon and all I can say is WOW!!!! This is probably the best purchase I have ever made. This thing is everything I ever expected and more!! It's very easy to use as well! I have bought other brands before, and this one just blows everything else out of the water! I have to say, everyone out there who is thinking of buying this, stop thinking. I bought it and I am extremely happy with it the moment I powered this thing on. How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The SanDisk SDMSP-512-822 512MB Memory Stick Pro, like most 512MB cards, will store on average 568 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 426 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 256 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 204 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 160 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.
I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this 512MB card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

I purchased a SanDisk 512 Mb Memory Stick Pro card for use with my Sony Cybershot P-100. I have been very happy with the results.
My camera is 5 megapixels and I can usually fit just over 200 pictures on the card at that size. The camera holds over twice that many pictures at 3 megapixels. Alternatively, the card will hold 20 minutes of low-res video and 5 minutes of the higher-res video.
I have never had any problems with the card. It works just as well as the Sony brand card that I have. I think this is an excellent alternative to buying the more expensive name brand Sony memory stick.
