This item is only working with Night Light Mode equipped on your camcorder. Please note, you only get ONE unit for the price and don't let the stock photo foooooool you because you won't get visible light either. However, it works fine and great help in a very dark condition WITH your Night Light Mode turn on.

This item works works very well for providing camcorder night vision, and for $45 is much cheaper than most other night vision options. The only downfall is the battery life. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge, and only gives you 45 - 60 minutes of use before needing recharged. It will not work while the charger is attached, and it has a internal non-replaceable battery. I will be using this item for all night paranormal investigations, and the short usage time will be a problem. If they could give this thing a better power source, it would be a amazing item!

I have purchased four of these lights for my two camcorders. I have both a mini dv and an HDD camera. Being a ghost hunter, you have to have an IR light for your cameras or you'll miss shots in the dark.
These lights have worked phenomenally well for me! They are rechargeable so that means less batteries to buy. We go through enough batteries as it is so this feature is very helpful. They stay charged for a good while. We have run the lights on the cameras for as long as 2 hours and the lights stay charged. That's pretty good, considering.
I intend to buy 4 more of these lights so that each of my cameras will have the capacity to see a good distance in cemeteries and in open fields.
The lighting you get from these is exceptional as well! When you turn your video camera on nightshot mode then turn on your first IR light, you can see a tremendous difference! Then, turn on yet another and even more is seen in the dark. You have to be careful not to over illuminate smaller areas because you'll get that washed out effect.
I highly recommend these IR lights for ghost hunters and anyone else that spends a lot of time shooting video in the dark. These are exceptional products at a great price!

This IR Light would be okay if you could use it with the wall plug powering it. Sadly, you can't. You can only use the plug to charge the internal battery. The battery life is less than 30 minutes. Waste of money.
