Small and Convenient, Very Slow [Posted on 2007-01-12]
The Targus Charger works well, and is convenient to use due primarily to the built in AC plug and the capability of charging from your vehicle's receptacle.
However, it's advertised as a "2 Hour Charger". The first unit I received I repackaged and returned after having the batterys on charge for 8 hours without showing fully charged. The next unit I received took 10 hours to initially charge the four batteries that are packaged with the charger. Since then, I've found fully discharged batterys require 7 to 10 hours to charge.
It's still a good charger if you don't mind the extended time it takes for a full charge; but it definitely is not a "2 Hour Charger" as advertised.

I purchased these batteries and charger several months ago for use in my wireless computer mouse. Unlike the previous review, I have had no issues with excessive charging time. I've never put a clock on the process, but two hours sounds about right and certainly nowhere near eight or ten like he has apparently experienced. The battery life between charges has been very good and there is no sign of the life degrading so far due to the recharging. I realize that it inevitably will decline, but at least there is no sign of it happening prematurely. In short, this package has provided everything I could have asked for. The batteries work well and hold a charge as long as you could reasonably expect and the charger gets them back up and running in roughly the amount of time the manufacturer claims. It's been a good value and a purchase I'm happy I made.
